Shop & Support: Good Causes at Noosa Civic

Your shopping bags can carry more than just fashion finds, pantry staples, or a cheeky new candle. At Noosa Civic, plenty of your favourite retailers are linked to causes that give back — meaning you can support great initiatives just by shopping where you already love to shop. From helping kids and pets to empowering women and providing meals, here’s how you can spread the good while filling your bags.
Big W – Toys for Joy
Got toys your kids have outgrown? Big W’s Toys for Joy program gives them a second life. Simply drop toys into the collection bins in-store and they’ll be passed on to children in need. Since launching, the initiative has saved more than 1.2 million toys from landfill — so your old favourites can bring joy all over again.
Rockwear – National Breast Cancer Foundation
Shop Rockwear’s specially marked charity products and you’ll be supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Every purchase helps fund vital research into prevention and treatment, meaning your new activewear is doing double duty — keeping you moving and keeping research moving too.
Lowes – Variety the Children’s Charity
At Lowes, shopping school uniforms and everyday essentials helps keep funds flowing to Variety – the Children’s Charity. Variety supports Aussie kids who are sick, disadvantaged or living with a disability, giving them the chance to reach their full potential.
Petbarn – Petbarn Foundation
From in-store donations at checkout to adoption centres, the Petbarn Foundation has donated more than $29 million to animal welfare since 2012. Rescue pets get new homes, therapy dogs get trained, and vulnerable pet owners get the support they need — and it all starts with a small donation while you shop.
Priceline Pharmacy – Sisterhood Foundation
Rounding up your purchase or buying select charity products at Priceline helps fund the Sisterhood Foundation, which supports initiatives across women’s health, children and family wellbeing, and mental health. It’s beauty with a cause.
Cotton On Group – Cotton On Foundation
Every time you pick up a Cotton On Foundation tote, tee, or notebook, 100% of proceeds go to projects that improve youth education and mental health worldwide. To date, shoppers have helped raise more than $150 million — proof that small purchases add up to big change.
Sportsgirl – headspace & Butterfly Foundation
Reusable tote bags and selected products at Sportsgirl raise funds for the Butterfly Foundation (supporting Australians with eating disorders) and headspace (supporting young people’s mental health). They also collaborate with First Nations artists on limited-edition designs, so you can carry a tote that tells a story and supports a cause.
Lorna Jane – Women’s Community Shelters
Every “Love Tote” purchased at Lorna Jane directly supports Women’s Community Shelters, which provide safe housing for women and children experiencing domestic violence or homelessness. A simple accessory can help fund a safe night’s sleep.
Specsavers – Clearer Vision for All
Both OPSM and Specsavers make it easy to support vision charities. You can donate your old glasses in-store, knowing they’ll be recycled or reused to help someone in need. Plus, a portion of selected frame sales funds projects like the Fred Hollows Foundation and OneSight, bringing clear vision to communities across Australia.
Adairs – Orange Sky
Pick up a reusable tote at Adairs and you’ll be helping Orange Sky, the Aussie charity delivering free mobile laundry and shower services to people experiencing homelessness. Every wash and every chat provides dignity and connection to those doing it tough.
Flight Centre – Flight Centre Foundation
When you book travel with Flight Centre, you’re supporting the Flight Centre Foundation, which has donated over $20 million to charities since launching. From helping vulnerable children to funding domestic violence services and environmental projects, it’s a reminder that your next holiday can help make the world brighter for someone else.
Noosa Civic’s Little Community Pantry
Giving back starts right here at home. Since 2016, Noosa Civic’s Little Community Pantry has been the primary source of dry-good donations for OzHarvest Sunshine Coast. Thanks to shoppers, more than 100kg of food is collected every fortnight and shared with vulnerable locals — from families under financial stress to people escaping domestic violence.
Want to help? Just drop non-perishables or hygiene items into the pantry near Woolworths. Even one can of soup can make a big difference.
From national charities to our own Little Community Pantry, Noosa Civic is proud to be more than just a shopping centre — it’s a place where every purchase, every tote, and every donation can help create a brighter future for someone else.
